There have been a number of "Offshoots" from BattleTech and the MechWarrior series, this is simply a small list showing some of the ones i know of and any links i have to more information on these topics. This section contains areas on:

The BattleTech Book Series has been increasing steadily in size over the last 15 years, I think there are around 40 books now chronicling small events up to large battles for planets. I have only read one of these books so far but found it very enjoyable. The books are all made by Penguin Books the owner of RoC books these books are widely available and appeal to all ages of people who are interested in science fiction. i would reccomend reading them if you are interested in this subject as it adds more depth.
The BattleTech Cartoon was made and shown in 1994 it was about the "1st Sommerset Strikers" - a Mercenary Unit, it was shown in America and also on Sky television to the UK unfortunately they only made one series of it, there is not much i could find on the cartoon series but here is the best site I found The Battletech Cartoon on the Pazsaz Entertainment Network. The cartoon featured normal cartoon garphics but also computer animated battle scenes when the Clan 'Mechs used the "Enhanced" battle mode. It was a good series and i think its a pity it was not continued.
There have not been any BattleTech Movies yet, there are rumours that there will be a BattleTech movie though, I read this at the Corona Coming Attractions Website. As I said above there have not been any BattleTech films made yet, BUT in the 80's there was at least 2 films that had in tham and depicted BattleMechs, one of these films was called "Crash and Burn" and the other was called "Robot Wars" there may have been more but these are the only ones I know of. If you know of them please mail me the information. (i did see both these videos available on Chartbusters - through www.Amazon.co.uk.
Before fasa closed in december of 2001 they released a Press Release stating that K'Nex had signed a deal to produce a set of BattleTech Toys.
Unbelieveable as it sounds there LEGO can be used as a medium for BattleTech, i did not believe this until I saw it myself but it is possible and does seem to work, please go to Ron and Randy's Lego MechWarrior Page. Please go and look, it really is quite cool.
There is also the LEGO Mechcommander Page that
