The Great Awakening
As I awoke this morning,
When all sweet things are born.
A Robin perched upon the sill
To signal the coming dawn.
The bird was joyful, young and gay
And so sweetly did it sing,
The thought of happiness and joy
Into my heart did bring.
I smiled softly at the cheery song,
Then, as it paused in moment lull,
I gently closed the window
And crushed his flaming Skull!
Anon.
Untitled (A few verses I knocked up, sorry not much of a
Poet)
Tracks clatter as another day rolls by,
Passing by the Seconds, Minutes and Hours,
On toward the Horizon, never Slowing,
On a seemingly endless Journey.
Floating down the stream of Life,
Occasionally struggling but never breaking free of the current of
Time.
The end is near.
As I plunge over the waterfall of Existence, into the darkness,
Following my destiny onto the rocks.
All is silent.
Endings meet beginnings, I am drunk on Infinity.
As I gaze across the stars, I can't help but feel
In a distant time, in a different guise,
I have been here before!
Here I lie Life and Death
They are but one and the same.
The path narrows as I zig-zag towards the light
Following the ones gone before, drawn by it's Beauty.
Lurker
Always have a dream.
Forget about the days
when its been cloudy,
but don't forget your hours in the sun.
Forget about the times
you've been defeated
but don't forget the victories you've won.
Forget about mistakes
that you can't change now
but don't forget the lessons
that you've learnt.
Forget about misfortunes
you encounter
but don't forget the times
your luck has turned.
Forget about the days
when you've been lonely
but don't forget
the friendly smiles you've seen.
Forget about the plans
that didn't seem
to work out right
but don't forget
to always have a
dream.
